1993年5月 IBM ThinkPad 220(利用碱性干电池供电)

1993年， ThinkPad的第一款A5尺寸的笔记本电脑，ThinkPad 220诞生。它属于超轻的可携带笔记本电脑，仅重1Kg，使用单三碱性干电池驱动，采用镁铝液晶外壳，拥有坚固型更实现轻量化。当时曾获得《PC Magazine》1993年度PC和最佳笔记本电脑等奖项。
